I haven't been able to part yet with any of my Montana from the late 80's. I once attended a party in the Space Needle- after an opportunity to meet David Bowie via my ex-music industry husband. I very carefully chose a voluminous Montana skirt for maximum impact. I didn't really meet any celebs (David Bowie meet n greet was a high five) but I felt like a million bucks all night. The outfit was always more important than celeb stalking.
I love hearing about the mega-fashion event in Oz! The first clothes that imprinted on me were my mother’s clothes in the 60s -- very Jackie O -- and I especially loved her cardinal red swing coat. In movies (also courtesy of Mom), I was drawn to clothes worn by Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn and others that I later learned were almost always designed by Edith Head. Then it was 70s fashion, hip-hugger bell bottoms, chevron and peasant tops, the DVF wrap dress. I’m guilty of wearing hideous 80s and 90s fashion and having a drawer full of shoulder pads, but I don’t think they were fashion’s best eras. Since then, I haven’t really been inspired but probably gravitate more to classic Ralph Lauren or sweat pants. :) What have you really loved? Can’t wait to read more!

I laughed, I croiyed, and now I need Covers. What is the vintage markup on them these days?

I saw the same show...I remember Elle Macpherson literally skipping down the runway. 😀
